Privacy Policy

Fasted (the "App"), by Ben Basha ("we", "us"). Effective August 22, 2026.

Fasted is built to keep your data with you. There is no account, no sign-up, and no server of ours that stores your fasting information. This policy explains exactly what the App does and does not do with data.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in Fasted is stored locally on your device:

Your selected plan (16:8, 18:6, 20:4, OMAD, or an open fast)
Your fasts, history, streaks, and mood entries
Your preferences (theme, reminders, units)
Your Pro status

We do not operate a backend, so this information is not transmitted to or stored by us. It stays on your device and is removed when you delete the App.

Purchases

Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store on iOS, or by Google through Google Play on Android. Payments and billing are handled entirely by the store. We never see or store your payment details. We receive only the purchase or restore result needed to unlock Pro on your device.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device (for example, a nudge when your fast is complete). They are not sent from a server and require no personal information.

Analytics and crash reporting

To understand how the App is used and to fix problems, Fasted uses Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, and Mixpanel. This data is anonymous and limited to:

A random, app-generated identifier (not your name, email, or store account)
App events (for example: starting a fast, opening the paywall, completing onboarding)
Device model, operating system, language, and app version
Crash and performance diagnostics
An approximate, city-level location that our analytics providers derive from your IP address, as is standard for analytics. This is not GPS and is not precise location; the App never requests location access from your device.
If you choose to use "Send feedback" in the App, the text of the note you write. Please do not include personal details in it.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, or health records. We do not collect the device advertising identifier (IDFA), we do not show ads, and the App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites. Firebase (Google) and Mixpanel process this anonymous data as our service providers; see the Google Privacy Policy and the Mixpanel Privacy Policy.

Children

Fasted is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your choices and rights

Because we hold no personal account data, most of your information is controlled directly on your device: delete the App to remove it. For the anonymous analytics described above, you may contact us to request access or deletion. If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or CCPA; we honor valid requests sent to the address below.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
